Network Uptime Maint. PDF Print E-mail

The Network Uptime Maintenance Plan includes hardware and operating systems.

The MPG-online Network Uptime Maintenance Plan provides a method for ensuring continuous operation of critical network components (servers, routers, etc.) through preventive measures. MPG-online Atlanta Network SolutionsThe primary focus is the continuous operation of the hardware and core operating system components that make up the server environment.

MPG-online  will initially evaluate the network, client, and server operation environment, recommend any required corrective measures, and then recommend measures for ensuring maximum network uptime.

Based upon your requirements, these measures may include such items as:

  • battery backup and/or generator
  • fault tolerant software such as RAID disks and/or mirror controllers
  • virus protection
  • operating system security updates
  • firmware updates
  • firewall protection.

The MPG-online  Network Uptime Maintenance Plan then provides a technical review of your environment by MPG-online  technicians on a regular basis. This review may include on-site service as well as remote access service. Technical review may periodically indicate the need for upgrades to server equipment and core operating system requirements to accommodate new server requirements such as

  • increased disk storage capacity
  • increased server throughput
  • changing business environments
  • take advantage of new technology

It is important to recognize that no amount of up front planning or ongoing review is a guarantee against unexpected downtime due to system failures – elements such as viruses, bugs in server operating systems, and unexpected hardware failure that have potential to create unexpected downtime. The SAMSA Network Uptime Maintenance Plan simply ensures that all reasonable effort will be put forth in preventative maintenance to keep your system current, despite changing conditions and technology.

It is also important to recognize that the MPG-online  Network Uptime Maintenance Plan does not provide for application level software support (such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Access). Also, in some cases, additional billable services may be required for updates or corrective measures that are identified or discovered during periodic monthly review.
